Rachael & Nick’s Elegant Wedding at Villa Cora, Florence
On June 6th, 2026, Rachael and Nick travelled from the United States to say “I do” in one of Florence’s most refined settings: Villa Cora, a 19th-century palace wrapped in gardens just above the Boboli. Theirs was a day of pure, timeless elegance — black tie, white flowers, golden light — and it ended, quite literally, with fireworks.
A palace above Florence
Villa Cora is the kind of place that makes my job feel effortless: a grand neo-classical villa with frescoed ceilings, Murano chandeliers and manicured gardens, minutes from the heart of Florence yet completely secluded. From above, the geometry of its Italian garden — where the ceremony took place — looks like it was drawn for the camera.
Private vows, then the garden ceremony
Before the ceremony, Rachael and Nick stole a quiet moment among the statues for their private vows — just the two of them, a folded letter, and the hush of the garden. Then, in front of their guests, they exchanged their promises beneath a cascade of white flowers on the villa’s stone balustrade, with all of Florence stretched out below.
Black-tie elegance, Florentine light
Everything about this celebration was tailored: the guests in black tie, the bridal party in black with white bouquets, the aperitivo on the terrace as the afternoon light turned gold. It’s the kind of understated, international elegance that suits Villa Cora perfectly — nothing shouting, everything glowing.
Dinner in the hall of mirrors
Dinner was served inside the villa, in a gilded hall of mirrors and Murano glass, the tables running long beneath crystal candelabra and towers of white flowers. Candlelight, toasts, laughter multiplied in every mirror — pure cinema.
A sky full of fireworks
And then, the finale. As the night reached its peak, the sky above the gardens erupted: a fireworks display closed the evening, with Rachael and Nick sharing a kiss beneath the golden light. If a wedding film ever needed a closing scene written for it, this was it.
