Chance and John traveled all the way from Los Angeles to celebrate their destination wedding in Tuscany, choosing the beautiful Tenuta Monaciano as the setting for their special days. As a Tuscany wedding videographer, it was a true privilege to document not only their wedding day but also their welcome dinner, capturing the full experience of their Italian celebration.
The event unfolded over two unforgettable days, blending relaxed moments, emotional storytelling, and elegant aesthetics in the heart of the Chianti countryside.
Welcome Dinner in the Heart of Chianti
The celebration began the evening before the wedding with a vibrant welcome dinner held in the historic courtyard of Tenuta Monaciano. Surrounded by nearly 100 guests from the United States, the atmosphere was joyful, informal, and full of energy.
One of the most beautiful moments was filming Chance and John driving through the rolling hills of Chianti in a vintage car, creating cinematic and intimate footage in a relaxed and authentic mood.
The evening continued with live Italian music featuring guitar, voice, and mandolin, while guests enjoyed freshly made pizza, traditional Tuscan pasta, and artisanal gelato. The open bar and the lively ambiance turned the night into a true Italian celebration, perfectly setting the tone for the wedding day.
An Elegant Wedding Day at Tenuta Monaciano
The following day transitioned into a more refined and emotional atmosphere. Some of the closest guests stayed inside the villa, allowing for a more intimate and immersive experience, while others joined later for the ceremony.
The villa’s historic interiors, rich in art and character, provided the perfect setting for the getting ready. In a unique and deeply meaningful choice, Chance and John prepared together — a moment rarely seen but incredibly powerful to capture on film.
Meanwhile, the wedding planner team worked on transforming the outdoor spaces into a stunning ceremony setting.
A Ceremony in a Natural Amphitheater
Tenuta Monaciano features a remarkable historic amphitheater, which served as the perfect location for the symbolic ceremony. The natural layout creates a stage-like setting with seating already integrated into the landscape, offering both beauty and functionality.
The ceremony was a perfect balance of emotions and joy. Chance and John exchanged personal vows, creating moments filled with both tears and laughter among their guests.
Every moment was captured in a cinematic way, preserving the authenticity and emotional depth of their story.
Golden Hour in the Tuscan Countryside
After the ceremony, the couple took time for a private shooting session among the vineyards and rolling hills of Tuscany, while guests enjoyed a beautifully arranged aperitivo in the gardens.
The soft pastel color palette, combined with the natural light of the Tuscan sunset, created an elegant and editorial aesthetic throughout the entire wedding.
Fashion, Identity & Personal Style
This wedding stood out for its strong fashion-forward identity.
From impeccably tailored suits to statement footwear by Versace and Dolce & Gabbana, every styling decision reflected intention, individuality and confidence. Later in the evening, they changed into bold dance-floor looks — pearl satin, sequins, chiffon, pleats and custom Nike shoes — transforming the reception into a true celebration of personality and freedom.
A Refined Reception and a Vibrant Party
The reception took place indoors, featuring a long imperial table that brought all guests together in a warm and sophisticated setting.
Following dinner and heartfelt speeches, the celebration moved into one of the estate’s indoor spaces for the party. With a live DJ, saxophonist, and open bar, the energy shifted into a vibrant and unforgettable dance floor experience.
A Story of Community and Belonging
At its heart, this was a wedding about community.
Families blending. Friends bonding. Circles merging.
As John and Chance later reflected, “Our wedding was never just about us. It was about all of us, together.”
It was also a powerful example of how a same-sex destination wedding in Tuscany can unfold with absolute elegance, authenticity and emotional depth — without needing to define itself by labels.
